The Alternate Realities of Flight MH370

Ever since the mysterious disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370, the failure of the authorities to find any substantial lead has promoted an infinity of conjectures, including wild ones like Illuminati conspiracies, Bermuda Triangle, interdimensional warps and alien abduction. But what if I were to tell you that, each and every one of these theories, no matter how illogical, is correct, perhaps not in one, but multiple planes of existence?

Few days ago, the Who Forted 'Zine posted an article named 'The Parallel Universes of MH370'. The moment I set eyes on it, I knew what I was going to write about.

On 8th March 2014, the flight MH370 travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing just disappeared in mid-air, leaving experts, Air Control authorities, military personnel and governments baffled. Despite an elaborate search by 10 whole countries, nothing has yet been uncovered, leaving the mystery open to many propositions and hypotheses. Here's a list of the most bizarre theories of all:

Real Life Lost?
The American TV show Lost featured the passengers of Oceanic Airlines Flight 815, which contained members from 14 countries, majorly from China, which was going from Sydney to Los Angeles, but was diverted from its original course, crashing on a seemingly deserted island in the South Pacific. The survivors, now stranded, find that they are not yet the survivors after all. A look at the MH370 and we find that it had passengers from 10 countries (close, huh?), the majority of which was from Malaysia and China. It too was diverted from its path to end up near the Andaman Sea, and Malaysian experts allege that it has crashed too. Thus, these uncanny similarities have lead to an even more uncanny comparison between a popular TV serial and a horrifying real-life incident, which is not funny, to say the least.

Bermuda Triangle
The people on Twitter have proposed that MH370 may have fallen into the Bermuda Triangle, or at least a counterpart, and ended up in a parallel universe or something. But considering that the Bermuda Triangle is locate in the North Atlantic Ocean, and no known counterpart is known to exist anywhere near the plane's last location, the theory doesn't win much credence.

North Korean Conspiracy
In 1969, North Korean dictator Kim It sung had hijacked a flight and taken it to Pyongyang. Has history repeated itself?

Alien Abduction
Another popular theory is an alien abduction, a very common proposition for high profile aerial disappearances. Take Amelia Earhart for instance.

Incredible, eh? Some of you may be laughing at how easily people tend to attribute the unknown to the supernatural. But what if I told you that each and every one of these theories, no matter how odd, is real? Would you believe me?

The Many Worlds Interpretation in Quantum Physics states that there are infinite parallel universes, each existing like a bubble alongside many more bubbles. Each of these universes vibrates with a slightly different frequency and shows a slight difference in its ongoings. For example, in one universe, Germany won WWII, in another WWII never occurred, and so on. These differences increase with the increase in the frequency differences between the universes, and finally there are universes where the very laws of physics are different.

So, each, of the aforementioned theories is true in one of the unlimited universes. In one universe, MH370 was abducted by aliens, in another, it was taken by the Illuminati and in another, it never disappeared!

Can you believe it? Well, men like Stephen Hawking have supported the Many Worlds Interpretation, and it is the only theory in quantum physics which can explain the working of gravitational energy. So, what do you think?

The Enthralling Disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370

On 8th March 2014, the MH370 took off for Beijing from Kuala Lumpur. Less than an hour from takeoff, it lost all communications from the Air Control. Military radars showed that the plane had changed its usual course. Dozens of planes and ships were sent on search operations from ten whole countries, all to no avail. The idea of fearsome terrorists carrying AK 47s hijacking the place has surely flashed in the people's minds, while others tried to justify something accidental. What happened to flight MH370?

At 16:41 GMT on March 7 the flight MH370 took off from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, and was supposed to arrive in Beijing, China at 22:30 GMT the same day. At 17:07 GMT, the flight sent its final ACARS transmission to the Malaysian Air Control, and the co-pilot was heard saying: "All right, good night". Minutes later, the plane passed into Vietnamese airspace over the South China Sea.

The plane was expected to follow its usual route north-eastwards over Cambodia and Vietnam. However, the Malaysian military radars detected it proceeding westward over the Andaman Sea, south of Phuket Island on the Strait of Malacca.

At 24:11 GMT, a final satellite communication found that the MH370 was flying in either of the two flying corridors: the one between Thailand or Kazakhstan, or the one between Indonesia and southern Indian Ocean. And that was it. The Malaysian flight consisting of 239 members from countries like Malaysia, China, U.S, Canada, Iran, India and so on, just vanished from the world.

A total of 10 countries employed their air and sea facilities for a massive search operation, while China deployed its satellites to help.

Despite all the investigations, discoveries have only served to deepen the mystery. A few family members of the flight passengers have called the missing passengers' cell phones and were shocked to find they were still ringing:

"This morning, around 11:40 a.m., I called my older brother's number twice, and I got the ringing tone," Bian Liangwei said. She then dialed the number and watched as the phone rang multiple times before disconnecting.

That's not all, two men aboard the MH370, both Iranians, named  Pouria Nour Mohammad (left) and Seyed Mohammed Rezar Delawar (right), as seen on the picture alongside, were caught travelling with fake passports. When caught, a certain Mr. Ali booked their tickets so they could travel without harassment in the flight. The Interpol, nonetheless, has confirmed that the two had no terrorist links, and weren't involved after all.

Wait, that's not all, Australian images show possible debris on the Indian Ocean, as can be seen in the photo above. The picture was declared the "best lead" in the search investigation, although they haven't yet been physically located by search parties owing to weather problems disrupting the search.

A group of fishermen claimed to have found a life raft at Port Dickinson, Malaysia. It reportedly sunk as they tried to return it to the authorities. Nevertheless, it may or may not be connected to MH370.

As for now, even the pilot is a suspect (no offense), as American investigators have found that files had been deleted from the captain's hard drive after February 3rd. Although they are not accusing anyone directly, everyone's a suspect now. Malaysian Prime Minister himself claims that the plane was deviated from its initial route by "deliberate action" from inside the plane.
