Recently I heard a man named Jon tell a story about twelve airline employees. They claimed that in 2006... they observed a metallic shaped saucer hovering over one of the passenger gates for approximately 2 minutes. Various other employees were alarmed...and notified superiors of a potentially dangerous air-traffic situation. According to Jon high-level management, airline pilots, mechanics as well as ground crew members witnessed the event. They say the real UFO shot through the over-cast sky, leaving a circular cloud ring and clear blue sky in its path.
It seems that Jon attracted a bunch of attention world-wide. He happened to post the story on the internet...and according to Jon...it wasn't long and he was getting requests from people all around the world to discuss this event.
Jon is one of those guys who likes to stay current by listening to the police scanner. He knows what's happening all around his neighborhood. So when he caught wind of the story...he was off to beat the band to this hard to believe event. Jon's known to be a stickler for details...so wouldn't you know it...he wants to interview everybody and their sister. I don't know about you...but Jon might want to consider getting a life.
Anyway, Jon spent most of the day traipsing across and around his local airport. He attempted to talk with pilots, airline administration, mechanics...as well as ground crew personnel. And he was more than a bit awed by his findings. It seems the upper management denied the event. But then a day later they changed their song and dance. In the end the high muckety-mucks said...no way...this ain't no E.T....It's just a strange weather phenomenon.

Now Jon and Jim are a couple of respected professionals. And most of the time...guys like these use a bit more sarcasm in their interchanges when it comes to the whole discussion are aliens real. However, these two guys are doing a bit of back peddling. And though they may be the butt of many a joke around the coffee pot...they believe what they believe.
Interestingly, these guys were at a public setting. And one of their friends had a video camera and decided to record these two dignified fellows. And then the camera operator had the audacity to put the video on YouTube. Can you believe it? Talk about shenanigans. Oh well...some people just can't be trusted.
It would seem there are many people who believe in extraterrestrial life. That explains why this story attracted so much international attention. Jon says there was more than a million hits after posting his thoughts. I guess all I can say is...either people are gullible...or...there sure is something to all this discussion of...Are aliens real? I suppose what is most interesting is the growing acceptance of these stories among the respected members of society.
For over sixty years a sub-culture has focused on such occurrences...gaining these hack researchers the title of lunatic. And there are many who still toss out such labels. However, more and more respected military personnel are coming forward with some outlandish testimonies that has the Internet community abuzz.
